Clean your home, naturally!
Keep the chemicals away, by using essential oils to clean your home. Essential oils can be a fantastic substitute for the harsh cleaning products commonly sold - not only are they safer, but they will also make your home smell amazing!
The most common and useful for cleaning, this fresh-scented essential oil is naturally antibacterial and antiviral. This makes lemon perfect as a disinfectant, as well as powering through greasy stains. Mix with water to deodorise the fridge and wash the floor, or combine with olive oil to create a wooden floor or leather cleaner.
Well known for its calming and de-stressing properties, lavender is also naturally antibacterial. It works surprisingly well when combined with vinegar - not only does it combine for an extra powerful clean, but lavender will help mask the sharp scent of the vinegar, resulting in a much more pleasant experience! Lavender is also the perfect additive for homemade washing up soap and linen spray, spreading its gorgeous scent throughout your home.
Another natural antibacterial, peppermint has many uses around the home. The invigorating scent can refresh any room, as well as having the bonus of being a natural ant, spider and cockroach deterrent. Simply mix with water and spray wherever is needed, including doorways and any cracks in the wall. Peppermint is also a great addition to any disinfectant or natural deodorant.
One of the most powerful cleaners, you can rely on tea tree for just about anything! Use it to fight germs, bacteria and viruses in disinfectants, hand soap and floor cleaner. Mix with water into a spray and use it to clean benchtops, bathrooms and other surfaces, including naturally deodorising the rubbish bin.
A household favourite, this powerful essential oil is perfect for kitchen or bathroom cleaning, its natural disinfectant properties and clean scent cutting through grime. If you especially love the smell, add a few drops of eucalyptus to your next wash cycle!
With the recent surge in essential oil popularity, there are a lot of brands out there claiming to be pure and organic, yet unless they are Certified Organic there is no way to be sure about that. Some companies also use synthetic oils to reduce costs. This can result in an inferior product that lacks life energy and therapeutic value. Be assured that Synthesis Organics only ever uses the highest quality, certified organic essential oils in all our products.
