Cleaning Mould with Lemon Oil

Lemon oil for mould

Cleaning Mould with Lemon oil (bathrooms, kitchen, carpet, walls etc.)   Harsh chemicals might seem to be the solution to difficult issues like mould, but often they can lead to more problems. Embrace the solutions offered by nature and solve mould through Lemon oil, 100% natural and effective, lemon oil will not only eradicate mould but will leave your home smelling amazing! Making a Lemon Oil solution:
  1. Dilute one teaspoon of Lemon oil with one litre of water in a spray bottle
  2. Apply to a surface.
  3. Best results are achieved by waiting several hours before washing off (ideally 24 hours if possible) as it attacks mould spores, killing the mould at its source.

Carpet
  1. Make oil solution (as above)
  2. Spray over carpet lightly
  3. Leave for 24 hours
  4. Vacuum
  5. Repeat process if necessary
Ceilings
  1. Make solution (as above)
  2. Cover broom head with light cloth
  3. Spray solution over broom head lightly
  4. Apply to ceiling lightly using broom
  5. Repeat process next day
Kitchen Laminate/benches
  1. Make oil solution
  2. Spray onto surface
  3. Leave for 30 minutes (for persistent mould leave overnight)
  4. Scrub with cloth
  5. Repeat if needed
Walls
  1. Make oil solution (as above)
  2. Spray on mould affected wall
  3. Allow to dry for 24 hours
  4. Dust wall to remove mould
  5. Repeat if necessary.
Blinds
  1. Make oil solution (as above)
  2. Lightly spray blinds
  3. Leave for 24 hours
  4. Brush away dead mould spores

Uses: Ideal when: focusing, concentrating, being active or creating a refreshing atmosphere. Use to help: • create home cleansing products • freshen the bathroom
Mould: Lemon Oil is commonly used for cleaning mould. It inhibits mould by attacking and killing the spores. Things you'll need:
  • Cleaning solution (for a simple, natural cleaner we recommend bicarbonate soda and vinegar)
  • Lemon Oil
  • Water
  • Plastic sprayer (available for a couple of dollars from hardware stores)
Directions:
  1. The surface should be cleaned with a solution of vinegar and bicarbonate soda. (4 litres of hot water, 1-tablespoon sodium bicarbonate plus half a cup of vinegar).
  2. Prepare a solution by mixing 1 teaspoon of Lemon oil with 1 litre of water.
  3. Spray solution of Lemon oil sprayed onto the area.

Directions: * Use of a Lemon Oil in vaporizer either singly or you can experiment with a combination of oils. * A few drops of essential oil can be used to fragrance massage oil or added to bases for cosmetic applications.
Storage: All essential oils should be well sealed, stored out of direct sunlight and away from heat.
