Synthesis Organics joins forces with Rainforest Rescue

We are proud to announce our new partnership with eco-warriors, Rainforest Rescue Australia. Our world is a tender balance of giving and taking. With this in mind, Synthesis has always enjoyed a close relationship with Mother Earth: our organic laboratory is nestled among the volcanic mountain ranges of Northern NSW, with many of our initial products inspired by the nature that surrounded us.And yet, the stunning natural wonder of the Australian environment is in extreme danger. From farming to rainforest culling, mining to pollution, the man-made damage to our land is extensive. One area that has captured our attention - and our hearts! - is the lush Daintree Rainforest. Stretching an impression 1,200 square kilometers across the coastline of north-east Queensland, the Daintree has long being known for its huge ancient trees, exotic wildlife, and magical forest trails. Simply put, the Daintree is one of our last living reminders of a time before mankind. Planting new trees in the deforested areas of the Daintree is actively working to protect and revive this amazing natural beauty. However, the Daintree is under threat. According to Australian NFP organisation 'Rainforest Rescue', the Daintree is slowly but surely being eradicated by new building infrastructure in the region:

Much of the internationally renowned Daintree lowland tropical rainforest is in desperate need of protection. Positioned between the Wet Tropics of Queensland and Great Barrier Reef UNESCO World Heritage Areas, the Daintree hit the international headlines in the early 1980s, when the Cape Tribulation to Bloomfield road cut through the area. Since then, thirty years of land clearance, introduction of non-native invasive species and inappropriate development have undermined the conservation of this unique and truly beautiful place. Tragically, the effects extend beyond the destruction of natural rainforest habitat and extinction of flora and fauna, impacting on significant cultural heritage. - Julian Gray, Rainforest Rescue CEO.

We are so pleased to announce that we are partnering with Rainforest Rescue to work together in protecting and reviving the treasured Daintree Rainforest. 

One of our first joint ventures is the release of our Certified Organic Rainforest Body Polish (which has since gone on to receive a Nature and Health Best in Beauty Award). For the sale of every Rainforest Body Polish, we adopt a rainforest seedling in the Daintree, this seedling could grow up to 40 meters during its lifetime, absorbing over a tonne of carbon and helping protect threatened Australian wildlife.
